Daily Business Review Reporter Julie Kay, who died in August after battling cancer, will be among 12 women honored by a group of Miami-Dade County organizations on International Women’s Day for their professional achievements and contributions to the progress of women.

Kay spent 25 years as a legal journalist in South Florida. One of her greatest passions was advocacy for women in the legal profession in Miami-Dade County and she took pride in stories that brought to light the success of women in the field or exposed inequalities in the legal profession.
