A nonprofit co-founded by the late U.S. Attorney General and Miami native Janet Reno will honor her memory Thursday with an award recognizing lawyers’ work on behalf of children.
Lawyers for Children America will give the inaugural Janet Reno Outstanding Community Partner Award to the Miami-Dade chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers. The two organizations have worked together to recruit and train pro bono lawyers to represent and mentor teen girls in foster care.
