South Florida lawyers Brett Alan Barfield, Richard Hussey and Holly Tabernilla will be recognized for their pro bono work by the Florida Bar at an awards ceremony Jan. 19.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Laurel Isicoff, the chief bankruptcy judge of the Southern District of Florida, will also be recognized for her support of pro bono services from the bench. She allows pro bono lawyers to appear first at motion calendar hearings, recognizes them in a bulletin posted at the entrance to her courtroom and refers self-represented debtors to resources to help them find free or affordable representation.
