A North Miami apartment complex owned by out-of-state companies for the past decade has changed hands to a Florida firm.

Avesta Communities LLC, a multifamily operator in Tampa, has pocketed the 396-unit Watermarke at Biscayne, paying $61.75 million for the six-building complex in a deal that closed at the end of January, according to Miami-Dade County property records.
