One of the country’s top lawyers is going after Backpage.com LLC for allegedly profiting from and assisting child sex traffickers in Florida.

David Boies, the New York attorney who leads Boies Schiller Flexner, filed federal lawsuits Tuesday in Orlando and Phoenix against Backpage.com and its owners. The lawsuits claim Backpage not only helps craft ads for sex with trafficked children, but also has internal policies that make it harder for law enforcement to find traffickers and their victims — all in the name of profit.
