Pointing to “grave constitutional concerns,” the Florida Supreme Court rejected a controversial 2013 move by lawmakers to tighten a standard for expert witnesses in legal cases.
The 4-2 ruling blocked the use of a standard backed by business groups but opposed by plaintiffs attorneys and The Florida Bar Board of Governors.
