Rafael Aguilar helped longtime client Minto Communities close several large real estate deals that have marked his legal practice, and while this particular transaction promises paradise, it was no breezy task.

The Shutts & Bowen partner just finalized a three-year deal that will bring a Margaritaville-branded retirement community, the first of its kind, to the Daytona Beach area. Aguilar, who joined the Miami law firm in late January, closed a $27.2 million land purchase on behalf of Minto, a developer and property manager actively building homes throughout Florida.
