Coral Gables attorneys won a record-setting $52 million jury verdict for a family who survived a car crash so severe that their Nissan Sentra stood up on its front bumper.

Yolanda Aldana and her four children, all under 13, were stopped at a red light in Ocala when their car was rear-ended by a BMW going 70 mph, according to their lawsuit. The crash pushed the Sentra into another car stopped at the light. The family’s lawyers said the BMW’s driver, Nathan Pyles, never braked.
