A nationwide class action over a pricey Ford Mustang was filed in Miami federal court, adding to the district’s blossoming reputation as an attractive jurisdiction for automotive defect cases.

The lawsuit, filed last week by Coral Gables firm Grossman Roth Yaffa Cohen and well-known Seattle plaintiffs lawyer Steve Berman, claims the 2016 Shelby GT350 Mustang can dangerously overheat at high speeds — a big problem for a car designed for racing.
