Coconut Grove Bank has officially moved into its new headquarters, a freshly built 30,000-square-foot facility a couple hundred feet away from the bank’s original location.
Four years ago the financial institution sold its home since 1959, a 5-acre lot on the corner of South Bayshore Drive and 27th Avenue, to two of South Florida’s most prolific developers. The $55 million real estate transaction was tied to a development deal: Miami’s Terra Group and the Related Group would build the bank a shiny new headquarters on that same lot.
