Shutts & Bowen partner Daniel Nordby, a veteran in-house attorney for government agencies, is leaving the law firm to become Gov. Rick Scott’s general counsel starting Monday.

Nordby has been a Tallahassee partner at Shutts since 2014 following service as general counsel to the state House for two years and to Florida’s secretary of state for a year.
