A motor vehicle case doesn’t need to involve an actual collision to lead to a big verdict.
South Florida attorneys Gregory Ward and Adam Dougherty won $1.25 million for a Vespa driver who said he had to swerve when an SUV cut him off on Biscayne Boulevard. Though the car didn’t hit him, Oswaldo Rojas Perez was thrown more than 10 yards and hurt his neck, shoulders and back, he alleged.
