At its annual Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco on Monday, Apple said its newest mobile operating system, iOS 6, will ship this fall. Many of the new features are lawyer-friendly, such as the Siri voice interface for the newest iPad, videoconferencing that doesn’t require Wi-Fi, and a more efficient way to retrieve lost iPhones.

The revised software will be a free upgrade for existing customers. It works on the iPhone 3GS, 4, and 4S; iPad 2 and new iPad, and fourth-generation iPod Touch, officials from the Cupertino, Calif.-based company said.
