Hunton & Williams’ local pro bono partner Rita Sheffey will become Emory University School of Law’s first-ever public service dean on Jan. 20—a new position that the law school created to coordinate and broaden public interest opportunities for students.

“I want to make students aware of the large array of options out there and help them in their journeys as they figure out what to do when they graduate,” Sheffey said. “Part of my vision is to expose all of the Emory Law students to public interest law and public service in some way so they realize that you can incorporate that into any type of career.”
