Revenue was up 7.5 percent to $373 million. Net income increased 20 percent to $92.5 million, which caused profit per partner to jump by a hefty $85,000 to $615,000. Revenue per lawyer increased by only $10,000 to $530,000, in part because the firm increased its head count from 668 to 701 lawyers.

“It was our best year in at least 15 years by most measures,” Ebert said. “Every practice group was humming: litigation, labor, benefits, workplace safety, class and collective action, immigration, affirmative action.”
