The Georgia legal community has until Friday to raise more than $41,000 in additional funds for the state’s food banks in order to meet the online fundraising goal for this year’s Georgia Legal Food Frenzy.

As of late Tuesday afternoon, $58,651 had been donated online, about 58 percent of the organizers’ goals of $100,000. Weinberg, Wheeler, Hudgins, Gunn & Dial has raised the most, $5,995. Last year’s winner, Atlanta criminal defense and entertainment lawyer Joe Habachy, had leaped ahead of Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton with $5,395, while Kilpatrick had raised $4,935.
