An Atlanta lawyer is back home after a grueling 15-week trial in New Jersey, where a jury returned a verdict for his clients, defendants in a suit claiming they were responsible for a child’s severe brain damage.

Hall Booth Smith partner John Hall, who defended a nurse and the hospital she worked for, said the New Jersey trial rules and extensive testimony led to the trial’s length.
