It's little wonder why you're as likely to run into Jessica Reece Fagan at your local farmers market as you are at a five-star restaurant. She's been a foodie ever since her childhood in Augusta, where her mother worked in the catering business.

The 33-year-old family law attorney spends much of her free time in the world of food: helping organize farmers markets, promoting the use of organically grown produce, writing restaurant reviews for local arts-and-entertainment publications and, of course, eating dishes created by her favorite chefs.

Fagan recently discussed her life in food, including her most recent project: assisting the real estate development company Jamestown in bringing a farmers market to the Westside Provisions District, as a way to help lower-income residents in the surrounding neighborhoods have easier access to food they can cook at home.
