Three heavy hitters in private law practice, legal academia—and baseball—have gained Intellectual Property Legend status.

Baseball great Hank Aaron, pioneering IP practitioner Bill Needle and academic guru Michael Landau will receive the 2015 IP Legend Awards at a luncheon on Oct. 20 at the Georgia State University College of Law.

GSU, Georgia Tech, the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association jointly make the IP Legend Awards—which are given only every two to three years—to recognize local leaders in business and law who have contributed to the intellectual property field.
