The University of Georgia School of Law is starting a new jurist-in-residence program, inviting federal judges to spend a week on campus teaching an intensive mini-course.

The program bringing Article III judges to Athens is made possible by a gift from a 2003 alumnus, Allen Yee, honoring Judge B. Avant Edenfield, the longtime federal judge for the Southern District of Georgia who died in May.
