A federal judge in Albany has sentenced four civilian employees to prison for bribery associated with military trucking contracts and the theft of military surplus, the acting U.S. attorney in Macon announced Wednesday.

U.S. District Senior Judge Louis Sands sentenced the four—three former civilian employees at the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany and a former employee of a trucking company that had contracted with the military—this week following their guilty pleas earlier this year, said acting U.S. Attorney G.F. “Pete” Peterman III.

Prison sentences ranged from six months to 10 years, and the defendants were ordered to pay more than $2 million in restitution and forfeitures to the U.S. government.
