Atlanta-based Coca-Cola is suing an insurer and underwriter for their refusal to reimburse it for nearly $1 million in losses suffered during an uprising that corked supplies to two bottling plants in the Himalayan nation of Nepal.

Nepal adopted a new constitution in 2015 that did not go down well with the nation's ethnic Madhesi minority, which claimed it discriminated against them.

When their demands that the new constitution be scrapped were rebuffed, a political bloc led by the United Democratic Madhesi Front set up a blockade at the Indian-Nepali border.
