King & Spalding maintained its lead Wednesday in the legal community's fundraising drive for the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

As of 4:15 p.m., the firm had collected $11,175, which the food bank can turn into 44,700 meals for hungry people. Organizers of the Georgia Legal Food Frenzy say that $1 can buy four meals.

The overall campaign for the Atlanta food bank had raised $119,764—about 59 percent of the $200,000 goal set by the co-sponsors of the event, Attorney General Chris Carr, the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia and the Georgia Food Banks Association.
