Tickets are going fast for SouthEATS 2017, the Asian food festival featuring popular Atlanta restaurants such as Ah-Ma's Taiwanese Kitchen, Brush Sushi Izakaya, Happy Valley and Monsoon Masala Kitchen and Sweets—plus local chefs like Allen Suh of Gato Arigato and Ronin Knife pop-up fame.

Local Atlanta lawyer Marian Liou organized the May 10 event to benefit Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Atlanta, a legal nonprofit offering voter education and registration, leadership development and legal services to Asian-Americans.

Liou, a board member for Advancing Justice, said SouthEATS is Atlanta's only Asian-American food festival. “I'm Chinese-American, and so many of my friends are doing great work in the restaurant community. I wanted to shine a big spotlight on them as much as I could.”
