The past year has not been an easy time to lead the State Bar of Georgia.

Outgoing bar president Patrick O'Connor—reached at his office at Oliver Maner in downtown Savannah—was putting the finishing touches on his final speech as president, to be delivered at the annual meeting Friday at the Jekyll Island Convention Center.

Just reviewing the challenges he's faced as president took about an hour.
