When Fulton County prosecutors launched multiple searches for what they said was a new will drawn up by the wife of Atlanta lawyer Claud “Tex” McIver before he shot her to death, attorneys representing Diane McIver’s estate countered with a plea to attorneys across the state.

In an open letter to the State Bar of Georgia’s membership published in the Daily Report, estate attorneys Kirk Watkins and Stanley Smith Jr. solicited any information or documentation that any bar member might have regarding estate planning, wills or other related documents, or any other evidence that might illuminate Diane McIver’s wishes for her estate prior to her death on Sept. 26, 2016.
