Mother Whose Son Died in Douglas County Jail Drops Suit Against Health Provider

A 2014 suit accusing the healthcare provider at the Douglas County Jail of causing an inmate’s death by administering a drug to which he was allergic has been dropped, and the deadline for re-filing has expired.

“There was no money paid, and there was no settlement,” said FisherBroyles partner Ted Lavender, who represents CorrectHealth, the healthcare provider at the jail.
