Practice Profile: McDaniel is a commercial litigator and Certified Information Privacy Professional. She represents domestic and multinational companies across various industries, including aviation, insurance, retail, technology, health care and financial services. She litigates matters such as class actions, contracts, business torts, trade secrets and consumer disputes, with an emphasis on privacy and data security. McDaniel has also practiced before the Georgia Office of State Administrative Hearings.
McDaniel was instrumental in establishing and growing Dentons' practice in the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. She is also a frequent speaker and writer on the topic.
Leadership Activity: McDaniel serves on boards for Georgia State University Honors College, Georgia Diversity Council and Women's Entrepreneurial Opportunity Project. She volunteers with Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, Atlanta Legal Aid Society and Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys. She was a founding trustee of Young Leaders Collegiate Academy, a proposed charter middle school for south Fulton County. McDaniel has participated in leadership programs including LEAD Atlanta, Georgia Association of Women Leaders Leadership Academy and Atlanta Black-Jewish Coalition's Emerging Leaders retreat.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
