The two lawyers who have launched campaigns for Georgia's 2018 gubernatorial election talked with the Daily Report in recent days about why they're running and what they bring to the race.
Stacey Abrams and Stacey Evans might be similar-sounding names, but the two bring starkly different stories.
They do, however, share far more than just their first names. They both said their legal skills and education prepared them for politics and government. They're both Democrats and members of the Georgia House of Representatives from metro Atlanta–Abrams from the city and Evans from neighboring Cobb County.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. Yalowitz of Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer have entered their appearances for Hanaco Venture Capital and its executives, Lior Prosor and David Frankel, in a pending securities lawsuit.
