An Atlanta political consultant who managed the successful campaign that saw Judge Belinda Edwards seated on the Fulton County bench has sued the judge, saying she stiffed him on a $5,000 dollar bonus he was promised.

In an affidavit accompanying a suit filed earlier this month in Fulton County Magistrate Court, Dan Young said Edwards retained him as campaign manager in early 2016. It said Edwards asked about his fees and was told he charged a minimum of $500 a week. Edwards said she could not afford that rate “but could pay $250 per week and will give you a bonus of $5,000 if I win the election.”
