Sen. Johnny Isakson had a rare moment on Tuesday as he spoke in support of his friend and fellow Georgian, Christopher Wray, to be confirmed as director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Isakson, a Republican, was interrupted by a Democrat—who agreed with him.

It happened at about a minute and a half into what turned out to be a short speech: two minutes, 45 seconds. Isakson had already mentioned Wray's service as a prosecutor and flashed Wray's King & Spalding credentials—law firm of Griffin Bell, Larry Thompson and Sam Nunn. The senator left out Wray's $6 million salary.
