An Atlanta attorney concerned about a lack of role models for black boys has launched a campaign to pressure the chief judge of the Fulton County Superior Court to add another black, male judge to the county’s Juvenile Court.

Recent visitors to Antavius Weems‘ Facebook page were greeted with a large, brightly hued message urging them to call Chief Judge Gail Tusan’s office “and ask why is there 1 Black male of 7 in Juvenile Court with 96% black boys coming to it.”
