A movie documenting the struggles of former prisoners returning to private life will premiere in downtown Atlanta Aug. 23 at the Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State University, located on Forsyth Street near the federal courthouse.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia and the governor are hosting the premiere, which will be followed by a panel discussion including some of the people who appear in the 45-minute documentary, titled, “Released: When Does the Sentence End?” Those appearing include Gov. Nathan Deal, U.S. Attorney John Horn and men and women talking about their own experiences with work, home and life after prison.
