The Georgia Supreme Court's Chief Justice's Commission on Professionalism has named a new executive director: attorney Karlise Yvette Grier.

“The Commission will be well served by Karlise Grier,” Chief Justice P. Harris Hines, the commission's chair, said in a news release Monday. “She brings a wealth of legal experience to the director position which will advance the mission of the work.”

The Supreme Court created the commission in 1989 as the first body of its kind in the country. Its mission is to enhance professionalism among Georgia's lawyers.
