The U.S. Senate late Thursday confirmed Atlanta attorney and former federal prosecutor Byung J. "BJay" Pak as the new U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia in Atlanta.

The U.S. Senate late Thursday confirmed Atlanta attorney and former federal prosecutor Byung J. “BJay” Pak as the new U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia in Atlanta.
Pak, a partner at Chalmers Pak Burch & Adams who emigrated with his family from Seoul, South Korea, when he was 9, becomes the state's first Asian-American U.S. attorney.
The Daily Report named Pak, now 42, in 2011 as one of its “Rising Stars.”
