The Atlanta portion of the Georgia Legal Food Frenzy broke through the $100,000 milestone on Monday, but it's behind schedule to meet a $250,000 goal by the end of Friday.

It's not uncommon for the annual fundraiser for Georgia's food banks to start fast, then slow down before a flurry of donations come in the final few days.

The event is timed so that food banks can stock up for the coming months, when Georgia children can't get the meals they rely on during the school year. One in four of all Georgia children don't know where their next meal is coming from, the food banks say.

Last year, the whole event sponsored by state Attorney General Chris Carr, the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar and the Georgia Food Banks Association raised a record $329,000 and 19,000 pounds of food for Georgia's food banks.

The standings among Atlanta firms and legal organizations show that the competition remains very active. Here are the top 10 teams working on behalf of the Atlanta Community Food Bank:
