The 2018 Am Law 100 rankings are out, and five Atlanta-based firms are again among the country's 100 highest-grossing law firms. King & Spalding led the pack, posting 2017 revenue of $1,138,540,000. That puts it at No. 23 in the rankings, up four spots from last year.

The other Atlanta firms in the Am Law 100 are Alston & Bird (No. 46 with $781.76 million in revenue), Troutman Sanders (No. 66 with $508.73 million in revenue), Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart (No. 72 with $469.48 million in revenue) and Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton (No. 80 with $424.03 million in revenue). Twenty-three other Am Law 100 firms have offices in Atlanta.

The American Lawyer reports that Am Law 100 firms grew revenue by a record average of 5.5 percent in 2016, which is up from 4.3 percent in 2016.

Three of the Atlanta firms outperformed that average revenue growth: Ogletree (up 9.9 percent), King & Spalding (up 7.7 percent) and Alston & Bird (6.2 percent). Troutman's revenue went up 3.8 percent and Kilpatrick's rose 1.8 percent.
