The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) builds, maintains and improves the more than 120,000 miles of roads in the state, and it works in concert with other state agencies and the private sector to provide planning and financial support for rail, transit, general aviation and bicycle and pedestrian programs. The agency also handles water transport issues, including the Savannah and Brunswick ports and Intracoastal Waterway.

Matthew Cline is the agency’s general counsel and director of administration.
