The Supreme Court of Georgia has slapped down the state Court of Appeals for ruling correspondence associated with a Kennesaw University professor’s research for payday lenders was not available to the public.

On Monday, the state high court unanimously reversed the 2017 appellate ruling that found government agencies are prohibited from releasing information that Georgia’s open records statute does not require to be disclosed.
