Linda Klein of Baker Donelson was named the Daily Report’s attorney of the year during the Georgia Legal Awards Thursday night. Klein’s victory was announced at the end of an evening during which 51 awards were handed out recognizing firms and individuals for excellence in litigation, in-house law, distinguished leadership, dealmaking, mentoring, social media mastery and lifetime achievement.

Klein, who was selected by a vote of six esteemed lawyer panelists, was honored for her work as president of the American Bar Association, including challenging both the Obama and Trump administrations on behalf of lawyers. She was in Poland working on a rule of law project and could not attend the event at The Georgian Terrace.
