Georgia Court of Appeals Chief Judge Stephen Dillard turned down his nomination to the Georgia Supreme Court Tuesday—on Twitter.

“Over the past few months, many of you have asked about my interest in serving as a justice on the Supreme Court of Georgia,” @Chief Judge Dillard told his 13,000 Twitter followers Tuesday morning. “And today I learned that I was nominated for an appointment to the Court.”
