Paul Weathington and Gabe Banks of Weathington McGrew won a defense verdict Monday in Fulton County State Court in a medical malpractice case over the death of a newborn baby.

This was the first case Banks handled from start to finish since he joined the medical malpractice defense firm two years ago. Before that, Banks had tried more than 50 cases as a prosecutor, first as an assistant U.S. attorney and then as an assistant district attorney. Most recently he served as head of the gang prosecution unit for Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard.
