Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr on Tuesday called on state Rep. Jason Spencer of Woodbine to resign his position immediately.

Carr made his request on Twitter in response to the Republican lawmaker’s appearance Sunday on a cable television program during which he screamed racial slurs, mocked Chinese people, dropped his pants and repeatedly shoved his naked behind toward the host. The video has become in internet phenomenon, generating reports from the Washington Post, the New York Times and the Daily Beast, among many others. A New York magazine headline on Monday said, “Jason Spencer Finally Gets Too Weird Even for the Georgia GOP.” The episode leads his Wikipedia page.
