Bar President Congratulates Comer Yates on State Board Appointment
The governor tapped him to serve on the Georgia Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to attorney J. Comer Yates, executive director of the Atlanta Speech School, on his recent appointment by Gov. Nathan Deal to serve on the Georgia Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
All Georgians will benefit from Mr. Yates' service on the commission, which advocates on behalf of hearing-impaired people by working to ensure they have equal access to services, programs and opportunities available to others. He is also chairman of the Rotary Educational Foundation of Atlanta, a co-chairman of the Georgia Pathway to Language and Literacy and a past president of Camp Twin Lakes.
With his acceptance of this appointment, Mr. Yates demonstrates his continued commitment to serving the public. We wish him well in this new position of statewide leadership.

Arthur G. Jakoby, Ryan Feeney and Maxim M.L. Nowak from Herrick Feinstein have stepped in to defend Charles Dilluvio and Seacor Capital in a pending securities lawsuit. The complaint, filed Sept. 30 in New York Southern District Court by the Securities and Exchange Commission, accuses the defendants of using consulting agreements, attorney opinion letters and other mechanisms to skirt regulations limiting stock sales by affiliate companies and allowing the defendants to unlawfully profit from sales of Enzolytics stock. The complaint, filed Aug. 27 in Pennsylvania Eastern District Court by Brodsky & Smith on behalf of Hung Trinh, accuses the defendant of discharging polluted stormwater from its steel facility without a permit in violation of the Clean Water Act.
