The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) is hosting its Presidential Summit/ 17th Annual State Criminal Justice Network Conference at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in downtown Atlanta. This year the theme "Shattering the Shackles of Collateral Consequences: Exploring Moral Principles and Economic Innovations to Restore Rights and Opportunity" explores helping restoring rights to individuals who have been in the prison system. Atlanta attorney Drew Findling is the president of NACDL and has been focused on bridging the gap between lawyers and the advocacy community. NACDL is also bringing together many individuals who have been directly affected by the criminal justice system and stakeholders who seek reforms that will have a lasting impact on communities. This year, 250 attendees from around the country are expected to attend.
