Big Law Firms Announce New Partners in Atlanta Offices
Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough elected eight Atlanta lawyers to partner. Jones Day, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, Eversheds Sutherland and others also made new partners in Atlanta.

In our latest roundup of Atlanta partner promotions, seven large U.S. and global firms have announced new partners: Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough; Jones Day; Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner; Polsinelli; Eversheds Sutherland; McGuireWoods and Fisher & Phillips.
This follows earlier announcements of 2020 partner promotions from King & Spalding and Morris Manning & Martin, both based in Atlanta.
All promotions are effective Jan. 1, 2020, except for those at Polsinelli, which were effective Nov.1 with that firm's new fiscal year.
|Nelson Mullins
Nelson Mullins led the pack with eight partner promotions in Atlanta out of 29 firmwide. Atlanta is one of the largest offices for the Columbia, South Carolina-based firm, which has about 800 attorneys in 11 states and Washington, D.C. Nelson Mullins's total new partner class is made up of 45% women.
The new Nelson Mullins partners in Atlanta are: Brandon Moulard, Andrew Mullen, Peter Munk, Craig Nazzaro, Jeffrey Perry, Amanda Sheneman, Courtney Stough and Alex Strang.
Moulard, who has an education law practice, was formerly of counsel and joined the firm in 2013. Mullen, formerly an associate, practices in real estate investment, finance and restructuring law and joined in 2014. Munk, who handles business and employment litigation, joined in 2015 as an associate. Nazzaro, formerly of counsel, practices on the firm's financial regulatory and corporate team after joining in 2017.
Perry, who advises on venture capital, corporate transactions and securities law, joined as of counsel in 2018. Sheneman, who joined in 2018, and Strang, who joined in 2016, also have real estate investment, finance and restructuring law practices and were both formerly associates. Stough, who joined in 2016 as an associate, advises venture capital companies and other clients on M&A transactions, equity and debt financings, and he assists startups with corporate matters.
|Jones Day
Out of 34 new partners at Jones Day globally, two were from Atlanta. Patrick Baldwin advises public and private companies, including private equity firms, on M&A and other transactions. Brian Lea is an appellate lawyer with a focus on high-stakes product liability cases, business disputes and constitutional litigation.
Fully half of Jones Day's 2020 new partner class are women. The firm has more than 2,500 lawyers in 43 offices worldwide.
|Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner
Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner has elected 17 new partners firmwide, including Leah Fiorenza McNeill and Lindsay Sklar Johnson in Atlanta. McNeill represents companies in restructuring and insolvency matters, while Johnson practices primarily with the firm's antitrust and competition practice group.
This is Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner's second new partner class since the 2018 merger of St. Louis-based Bryan Cave and the U.K.'s Leighton Paisner. Almost 60% of the 2020 new partners are women.
|Polsinelli
Polsinelli elected 31 new shareholders, including Ray Lindholm and Ellen Persons in Atlanta. Lindholm is a member of Polsinelli's health care litigation and disputes practice, while Persons is a member of its government investigations practice.
Polsinelli has more than 875 lawyers in 21 U.S. offices. Of its newly elected partners, one-third are women.
|Eversheds Sutherland
Eversheds Sutherland promoted six U.S. lawyers to partner, including Rob Ellis in Atlanta, the firm's U.S. headquarters. Its new U.S. partner class is one-third women.
Ellis, part of the firm's corporate and financial services practice, advises clients on transactions including M&A, joint ventures, venture capital investments and debt financings. He also provides general corporate representation.
With more than 3,000 lawyers, Eversheds Sutherland has 69 offices in 34 jurisdictions across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the U.S.
|McGuireWoods
McGuireWoods has named Keisha Coleman a partner in its Atlanta office, out of 12 new partners nationally. Coleman is a trial lawyer focused on complex financial services, business, securities and white-collar criminal litigation and investigations. She is one of five women elected to partner among McGuireWoods's dozen new U.S. partners.
|Fisher & Phillips
Fisher & Phillips has elected 17 new partners, including Marty Heller in Atlanta, which is the national labor and employment firm's headquarters. Firmwide, 47% of the 17 new partners are women.
Heller represents employers in employment litigation and advises them on day-to-day employment issues, including the implementation of new policies and practices.

David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
