Arnall Golden, Taylor English and Others Announce New Partners
In a flurry of promotion announcements, five firms have named new partners in Atlanta.

In the Daily Report's final roundup of newly elected partners, five firms—Arnall Golden Gregory; Taylor English Duma; Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete; Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner and Bouhan Falligant—have announced a total of 15 partner promotions in Atlanta, Macon and Savannah.
This follows earlier announcements of 2020 partner promotions from Alston & Bird, Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton, Troutman Sanders, King & Spalding, Eversheds Sutherland, Morris Manning & Martin, Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough and other firms.
All partner promotions were effective Jan. 1.
|Arnall Golden Gregory
Arnall Golden has elected five new partners, all in its Atlanta headquarters. They are: Michael Bargar, Kathryn Baldwin Hecker, Tanner Ivie, Vidhi Shah and Matthew Wilson.
Bargar has a bankruptcy practice, representing trustees, creditors and debtors in a range of bankruptcy matters. Hecker focuses her practice on complex wealth transfer planning, including tax, business succession and charitable planning, as well as probate matters. Ivie is a corporate lawyer who represents private and public companies in transactional and securities matters.
Shah has a real estate practice representing owners, developers, equity investors and lenders in commercial real estate transactions. Wilson co-leads Arnall Golden's entertainment and sports industry team, advising clients on legal issues related to entertainment, tech, new media and advertising.
|Taylor English Duma
Taylor English Duma, also headquartered in Atlanta, has elected five new partners: Russ Dunlap, Deborah J. Livesay, Ryan Owens, Amanda Wilson Speier and Seth Kincaid Trimble.
Dunlap has an intellectual property practice, handling patent, trademark and copyright prosecution and litigation for clients ranging from inventors and startups to large companies. Livesay handles employment law for management, defending employers in employment litigation across the country, such as discrimination and wage and hour complaints. Owens has a corporate and transactional practice. Before joining Taylor English in 2018, he served as the general counsel for Kredible and as chief legal officer for DS Services.
Speier is a litigator, handling medical malpractice defense cases for health care providers including doctors, hospitals and insurers, as well as general liability, contract and billing disputes. She also defends professional liability claims in the insurance and financial services industries. Trimble is a tech and IP litigator, handling disputes over patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.
|Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete
Constangy, a national labor and employment firm based in Atlanta, has promoted three lawyers to equity partner and four to partner firmwide, including new nonequity partners Katie Kelley in Atlanta and Claire Cronin in Macon.
Kelley's practice focuses on workers' compensation defense, representing employers, insurers and self-insured clients in workers' compensation matters throughout the state of Georgia. Cronin represents employers and insurers in all aspects of workers' compensation litigation, including mediation, subrogation and appeals.
|Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner
National IP firm Finnegan has elected seven lawyers to partner firmwide, including Benjamin Schlesinger and M. David Weingarten in Atlanta.
Schlesinger practices patent litigation and licensing in the electrical and computer technology arts. Weingarten focuses on chemical, pharmaceutical and biotech patent litigation before U.S. district courts and the International Trade Commission and on post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
|Bouhan Falligant
Savannah firm Bouhan Falligant has elected Lucas Bradley to partner. A litigator, Bradley is the firm's primary appellate specialist, handling appellate advocacy, complex motions practice and admiralty and tort defense cases. As an undergraduate, Bradley was the drum major for the Duke University Marching Band.

Driscoll from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr have stepped in to represent Symbotic Inc., an A.I.-enabled technology platform that focuses on increasing supply chain efficiency, and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
