The course for Saturday’s Olympic Marathon Trials in Atlanta will take runners past the state’s new judicial building, the Fulton County Courthouse and countless law firms along Peachtree Street downtown and in midtown.

Lawyers won’t just be spectators, as a handful are among the 700-plus runners battling through 26.2 miles for a chance to compete in this summer’s Tokyo Olympics. Just qualifying for the event is an impressive accomplishment. Men and women need to cover the distance in two hours and 19 minutes or two hours and 45 minutes, respectively.
