Tomieka Daniel of the Georgia Legal Services Program supervises 16 staff members and eight student interns in an office that closes about 17,000 cases per year in Macon.

She volunteers at Mercer Law School, helping students develop strong interview skills. Within her office, she promotes “active learning,” as one of several mentees put it—finding the proper balance between letting a new attorney handle things on their own …”without feeling alone.”
