Throughout his career, Jack Dalton of Troutman Pepper has been a “bet-the-company” litigator. He obtained CNN’s access to the White House in the 1980s when it was a fledgling network, won lawsuits that enabled the Time Warner-Turner merger in 1995 and served as Southern Co.’s lawyer of choice in its most difficult matters. He served as president of the American College of Trial Lawyers in 2009.

Dalton also fostered and trained generations of Georgia lawyers. As one mentee said, “Jack always demanded our best, but he also made our best so much better than we ever thought it could be.”
